Objective: The Bilingual IBCLC-certified Lactation Consultant will join the Delfina Medical Group to support pregnant patients and new moms throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journey.

‍About You: Our ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about technology-based patient engagement and education in pregnancy and postpartum (with both 1:1 and group education).

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Lactation Consultant for Delfina Medical Group in pregnancy and postpartum
• Provide 1:1 therapy visits for pregnant and postpartum patients via video, phone, and app based communication services
• Teach/lead group lactation support and educational classes
• Create breastfeeding/chest-feeding protocols and safety measures around a telemedicine based platform
• Update protocols and procedures on an as needed basis to work safely and effectively
• Create app based patient content to promote learning and success strategies
• Flexibility: 100% virtual work with the following requirements:
  • Video, phone, text, app based work functionality
  • Location with privacy and reliable high speed internet access
  • Computer with functional webcam

Qualifications:

• Active International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
  • 1+ years total experience practicing as an IBCLC, providing lactation care in the prenatal and postpartum setting
  • Registered in Medicaid systems is a plus
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
• Telehealth experience is a plus
• Strong communication and conversational skills
• Experience with Web and mobile technologies
• Available for phone and video meetings on an intermittent basis with the Delfina Medical Group

Compensation: $30-35 USD per hour

The compensation range for this contract position represents a wide variety of factors, including location, skills, experience, education, and training. Candidates who meet most of the qualifications above should expect to earn near the middle of the posted compensation range.

Time commitment: 2-10 hours per week initial commitment with additional ongoing work on an intermittent basis. Hourly contracted pay rate for 100% virtual work with flexible hours.
