| Associate Product Manager Kipsu is a growth stage Minneapolis-based technology company that has grown to over 120 employees. At Kipsu, we help service professionals Meet the Moment - from partnering with some of the largest hospitality brands in the world to working with clients in the multifamily and healthcare industries. Our best-in-class technology enables organizations around the globe to better serve their customers through streamlined messaging, data-driven performance metrics, sentiment analysis and workflow management. As one of the Twin Cities’ leading tech companies, Kipsu has cultivated a reputation for a strong company culture and is consistently recognized by the Star Tribune as a Top Workplace. THE OPPORTUNITY We’re scaling a B2B platform used by hotel teams to run daily operations. We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager who can learn our domain quickly and translate real-world workflows into clear, high-quality product requirements—primarily through written and async collaboration. Location- Pune (with occasional overlapping with US time zones) Type- Full-time Experience- 1-4 years WHAT YOU'LL DO - As an Associate Product Manager on our collaborative and motivated team, you’ll have the chance to:
- Own a defined product slice (a workflow area) and drive it from problem understanding to PRD-ready scope.
- Build customer and user understanding primarily through async inputs: call recordings, support tickets, CS notes, product usage patterns, and shadowing live calls with senior team members.
- Write product requirements: PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and non-goals that enable engineering + QA to ship with high confidence.
- Drive cross-functional alignment with Design, Engineering, QA, and Customer Success—mostly async—by capturing decisions, tradeoffs, and rationale in writing.
- Support release readiness: help define rollout plan, internal enablement notes, and feedback loops to iterate after launch.
- Contribute to product quality by helping teams validate requirements, test scenarios, and success metrics
What success looks like in the first 90 days - You can explain and diagram one major customer workflow in your slice: actors, steps, edge cases, failure modes.
- You produce 1 PRD that are reviewed across functions and reach “build-ready” quality (clear scope, AC, risks, dependencies, non-goals).
- You establish an async feedback loop: a recurring insight summary (tickets + call notes + product signals) and a prioritized backlog for your slice.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We’re hiring people who: - Possess an enthusiastic and persistent curiosity of how things work with our product, our users, and beyond
- Are fearless and willing to dive into familiar or unfamiliar realms of technology; to learn, investigate, experiment, and apply
- Apply a consistently high attention to detail when writing, communicating, synthesizing, and presenting product design and requirements
- Are eager to dive into the details - whether data analysis, systems, or user journeys - in order to define thorough requirements that meet the core needs of users in the product
- Can break down complex problems into components, dive into the details, and build back to a solution
- Are comfortable engaging with customers and asking questions with an instinct to read between the lines to elicit the underlying need, asking “why?” or “what else?” one more time
- Can effectively present and articulate complex ideas to people with technical and non-technical backgrounds both verbally and visually
- See problems and take initiative to fix them, jumping in to take action rather than waiting for someone else to do it
- Possess technical aptitude with a willingness and eagerness to bridge technical gaps between customer and product
- Are comfortable having high level technical conversations (APIs, system integrations, data, etc) in order to elicit needs for product functionality
- Are comfortable with reading and applying API documentation, both internally and with customers; for example, Single Sign-on and system data integrations
- Can identify dependencies in complex systems and plan and prioritize relative to value and impact
- Comfortable flexing into other product and technical areas needed by the business
Bonus points for experience in: - Working in the hospitality industry or related technologies
- Working with healthcare technologies or healthcare-specific interfaces
- Experience with Figma and design systems
- Having an entrepreneurial streak or a history of working at startups
- Having an engineering background, whether software, chemistry, mechanical, civil, etc.
- Experimenting with technology, making websites, or designing applications
- Familiarity with software development methodologies
- Experience working in B2B products or B2B SaaS environments
