You'll work across multiple product surfaces - messaging, operations, mobile - shipping features that reach millions of end users. Our stack is polyglot: -
Frontend: pnpm monorepo with web/mobile code sharing, using React, React Native, Expo, react-query, Zustand, and openapi-typescript -
Backend: Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, PHP, TypeScript -
Data: MySQL, PostgreSQL -
Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, ECS, SQS, S3, Lambda, RDS etc) Engineers here work closely with product and leadership - you'll see the impact of your work on the business, not just the codebase. WHAT YOU’LL DO -
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support software across multiple tech stacks in a SaaS environment -
Work full stack across both Kipsu Messaging and Lodgistics platforms -
Build features using React, React Native, Expo, react-query, Zustand, and openapi-typescript in a pnpm monorepo -
Contribute to backend services and APIs for platform development -
Apply design patterns and best practices to solve complex business problems -
Participate in peer reviews, pair programming, and agile ceremonies -
Troubleshoot bugs and production issues -
Collaborate with US-based team across time zones -
Document and share knowledge proactively WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR We're hiring for two profiles: Strong Frontend: You're excellent in TypeScript and React (React Native and Expo are a plus). You think in types - "any" bothers you. You've got opinions on Zustand vs Redux, and hunting down unnecessary re-renders is your guilty pleasure. Strong Backend / Generalist: You're skilled in a SQL-backed stack - Rails, Django, Java/Spring, or similar - with solid REST API experience. You can move into frontend code when needed, chasing a bug from the UI through the API and into the database. Fixing a slow API endpoint is immensely satisfying for you. When you apply, tell us which profile fits you - Frontend or Backend/Generalist. Applications without this won't be reviewed. We care about attention to detail, and this is the first place we look for it.
