THE OPPORTUNITY
Kipsu is seeking an accounts receivable collection specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you’ll play a unique and interesting role in a high growth, leading edge Minneapolis based software company.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Manage high-volume portfolio of customer accounts and drive full collections lifecycle ensuring payment promises are tracked through to completion and no account falls through the cracks
  • Execute established collection call and email volume targets to secure payment commitments, immediately following up with written summaries and documentation of all correspondence in NetSuite to ensure a seamless audit trail
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and payment hurdles by researching the account and collaborating with customer success or sales when necessary.
  • Accurately document all collection activities, phone calls, emails, and customer communication in the system
  • Maintain professionalism and positive customer relationship, while enforcing payment terms

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 2-5 years experience in accounts receivable collections, with proven ability to manage high volume accounts and familiarity with dispute resolution
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to maintain calm and professional during challenging conversations
  • Confidence in handling outbound phone calls and strong phone presence
  • Organized and able to manage high volume accounts and consistently follow up with customers
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet performance metrics
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role is primarily based in our office and includes regular, on-site time to support collaboration, connection, and shared problem-solving.

In this role, you’ll engage in day-to-day work that may include:
  • Communicating and collaborating with teammates and/or customers through conversation, meetings, and digital tools
  • Interacting with information in a variety of formats, including written, visual, and verbal
  • Using standard office and technology tools to complete work effectively
  • Spending time working at a desk and occasionally moving around the office to connect with others
