Position Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager or Director of Corporate Development to lead our medium to longer-term growth initiatives. This role will work closely with senior leadership to drive forward business development initiatives that are critical to the company’s overall business objectives and long-term vision.

This position will report to the CEO and provide support to the company’s new product development, new partnership development and investor relations activity. The position will have a front row seat to the growth and expansion of one of the most exciting companies in the travel space. The position will be equal parts business development and investor relations, requiring a candidate who can create a clear business case with limited input and is comfortable dealing with the unknown. The successful candidate approaches the role with humility and focus, understanding that the best strategies are built from diligent research, a deep understanding of the business and a willingness to dig into the details.

This position requires the willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partnership Development & Deal Support: Build and maintain new strategic partnerships with airlines & related travel companies. Build the business case and own the model to drive to the best possible deal.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and industry trends.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Landline, including safety, security innovation, operations, and finance to ensure alignment on corporate development initiatives.
  • Capital Markets Support: Support capital markets processes to meet the company’s capital requirements and ongoing investor relations / reporting.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop financial models to evaluate the potential impact of corporate development initiatives on the company’s financial performance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present reports to the executive team and board of directors on major business and corporate development activities, progress, and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting or similar quantitative role with an organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing strategic partnerships.
  • Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities that align with the company’s long-term goals.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a deep understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to create compelling materials and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on working collaboratively across Landline leadership and partner leadership.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
