Our team works with major health systems like UCSF Health and the VA to provide door-through-door companion rideshare services and SAAS based total transportation management solutions custom built for healthcare. Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Product Management to lead our product team at Onward. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record in product management, a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, and the ability to drive the development of innovative solutions that align with our company vision.
Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with Onward's overall mission and business objectives. Lead the identification of market opportunities and contribute to the overall product roadmap.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless coordination throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Produce Technical Requirements: Identify internal and external customer needs, develop business requirements, and translate business requirements into technical requirements in collaboration with engineering leadership.
- Competitive Product Analysis: Conduct market research on competitive products, features, and capabilities to inform product decisions and maintain a strong competitive position.
- Product Development: Prioritize features, create user stories, and work closely with engineering to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to make informed decisions. Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly analyze product performance to drive continuous improvement.
- Internal and External Release Communications: Develop communications, training content, and release notes to keep users informed of new features, and increase new feature utilization and adoption.
- Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate product strategies, priorities, and roadmaps to internal and external stakeholders. Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
- Compliance and Regulatory Oversight: Ensure that products adhere to relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in product management roles, preferably in the healthcare or technology sector.
- Demonstrated success in leading product development functions.
- Strong understanding of healthcare and/or transportation industry trends, challenges, and opportunities.
- Experience with product management in a technology-driven environment.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with agile development processes using Scrum or kanban; Jira a plus.
