What You’ll Do:

As our Sr. Director of Solutions Engineering, you will be the driving force behind our technical vision, execution, and innovation. In this role, you’ll blend strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, crafting scalable, secure solutions that align with our mission and business goals. You'll lead technical feasibility assessments, architect world-class applications, and guide an engineering team to deliver exceptional results.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Architect for Growth:

• Develop and refine our enterprise architecture to support scalability, security, and long-term business objectives.

Lead with Impact:

• Mentor and lead a small, dynamic engineering team, providing technical guidance and hands-on contributions.
• Participate in feature refinement, technical design, and development to drive forward key initiatives.
• Conduct code reviews to uphold the highest engineering standards.

Design Best-in-Class Solutions:

• Architect scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions across the platform.
• Break down large initiatives into manageable tasks with clear timelines, risk assessments, and dependencies.
• Balance trade-offs between speed, complexity, and value to deliver impactful solutions.

Collaborate and Communicate:

• Partner closely with product leadership and executives to align business needs with technical strategies.
• Create and present architectural diagrams and visual tools to convey complex ideas to diverse stakeholders.

What You Bring:

Technical Mastery:

• Extensive experience in full-stack development and enterprise-level technical architecture.
• Expertise in:
• Back-End: PostgreSQL (hosted on AWS via Heroku), Ruby on Rails, GraphQL APIs.
• Front-End: React (web and mobile), Material UI, Ember, Tailwind UI.
• Proven ability to integrate third-party APIs (e.g., Uber Health, Twilio, Stripe) and develop secure, scalable in-house APIs.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, to streamline deployment and scalability.
• Strong grasp of aligning IT strategies with business objectives through enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Demonstrated success leading engineering teams in Agile environments, balancing strategic oversight with hands-on contributions.
• A track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions on time and within scope.
