We are seeking a seasoned Experience (Event) Technology Director to lead our talented team in developing and implementing strategic technology solutions for our client events. This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative leader to shape the growth of our event technology team and ensure a consistently exceptional experience for our client’s attendees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for all technologies that support our experiences, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Manage a team of event technology managers and builders overseeing their professional development and ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Confidently represent our experience technology solutions to clients, strategically aligning the right solutions for their goals in a fully client-facing role.
  • Partner with account leads and stakeholders to understand event goals and translate them into actionable technology solutions working alongside other team leads and key stakeholders to ensure needed new technologies are developed.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive event technology strategy, including selection, implementation, and integration of various technologies (registration platforms, event apps, audio/visual solutions, etc.).
  • Build and represent event data journeys to ensure the right data is collected and reported to ensure client goals are met.
  • Stay current on emerging event technology trends and identify opportunities to leverage them for enhanced engagement and event ROI.
  • Manage event technology budgets, bids and resources effectively, ensuring cost-optimization and alignment with overall event goals.
  • Work with our clients and internal teams to oversee the seamless execution of event technology aspects during live events, troubleshooting any issues and ensuring smooth operation or guiding the on-site team member who is overseeing that execution.
  • Analyze post-event data to identify areas for improvement and optimize future event technology strategies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience leading a team of event technology professionals.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing innovative technology solutions for events of all sizes and scopes.
  • Track record of excellent client facing skills from discovery of needs through presentation of solutions
  • Experience working in Cvent and creating strategies that push the boundaries of event technology
  • Strong understanding of current event technology trends and best practices.
  • Expertise in various event technology platforms, including registration software, event apps, engagement solutions, data solutions and content management systems.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for the events industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences.

Bonus Points

  • Basic knowledge of front-end coding languages.
  • Prior experience building with CVENT, Wordpress, Shopify, and other CMS based technologies.
