Job Description:
As a software engineer at Kigo, you will spearhead the development of our server-side logic, ensuring high performance and maintainability. You will primarily use Rust and SQL to build secure, scalable, and efficient backend services. You will also be contributing to the full software stack as you develop various products and features in the Kigo platform. Your role is crucial in creating robust solutions that support our innovative tokenized loyalty platform.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design and implement high-performance applications using Rust

· Develop, optimize, and maintain robust databases

· Integrate user-facing elements developed with server-side logic

· Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to design and launch new features

· Maintain code integrity and organization, including code versioning and CI/CD practices

· Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues

· Write maintainable, testable, and scalable code

What you need to be successful in this role:

· 3+ years of experience in software development

· Strong expertise in backend programming with Rust

· Experience with SQL and database design

· Good understanding of JavaScript and HTML

· Experience in full-stack development, able to integrate front-end and back-end aspects of applications

· Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git

· Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

· Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

· Ability to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Team player with an ownership mindset– no task is too small, no challenge is too great, with a strong bias for action

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
