We are looking for an HR Generalist to join our growth focused team! The HR Generalist will report to the Director, People and assist with day-to-day routine functions across Kigo. The Generalist best suited for our team is someone who is people centric and fosters a people first approach to every day. This candidate will be our go-to person for employees’ immediate needs and communicate regularly with leadership. This role is highly collaborative and includes a variety of functional areas. The person in this role must be curious and have a keen interest in developing and implementing process.

You’ll spend your days on the following:

Administration: 30%

- Record keeping: Maintaining and filing documentation of all employee changes related to employment such as offer letters, compensation changes, commission or bonus plans, benefits enrollment, policy acknowledgments or performance etc.

- Filing all contractor agreements

- Filing all employee benefits education and resources to company shared drives

- Completion of reference checks and verification of employment (VOEs)

- System updates for titles and reporting changes

- Update org chart accordingly when team changes are made

Onboarding/Offboarding: 20%

- Create job descriptions and post on external platforms

- Perform interviews and coordinate with hiring teams schedules

- Extend verbal and written offer letters

- Negotiate compensation packages

- Processing of background checks and completion of onboarding and new hire paperwork

- Submit tickets to IT department for equipment and access setup for new hires and employees

- Create and coordinate first day’s schedules

- Perform routine check ins during 90-day window

- Filing resignation letters

- Conduct exit interviews

- Create and send termination letters

- Process terminations through company systems and ensure deployment of Cobra packets

Employee Relations: 20%

- Intake employee complaints or grievances

- Assist employees with conflict management

- Ensure cohesive working relationships between employees through constant communication with direct supervisors

- Research and develop engagement incentives or initiatives to foster employee appreciation

- Attend company town hall meetings and share out relative People updates

Performance Management: 20%

- Report needs for counseling or coaching of employees to Director, People

- Review documentation for objectivity and process performance improvement plans (PIP)

- Conduct PIP meetings with supervisors and their reports

- Follow up and maintain an understanding of current PIPs and be able to escalate to the Director, People for additional guidance

Employee Communications: 5%

- Send company updates on employment changes affecting employee population such as performance reviews, benefits enrollment, or updates in paperwork

- Remind employees of office closures due to company holidays

Payroll Support: 5%

- Process payroll and compensation changes alongside Payroll manager

- Confirm billings and payroll deductions

- Process international payroll invoices

- Submit comp changes to international PEO

Qualifications/Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology or other related fields (required)

· 3-5 years of prior experience in a Generalist or HR administrator capacity (required)

· Experience with a high volume of paperwork

· SHRM or PHR certification (preferred)

· Prior experience performing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and talent initiatives

· Maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high level of good judgment and decision-making

· Highly organized with the ability to prioritize deadlines

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to take initiative and work independently

· Understanding of State and Federal laws such as EEO, ACA, FMLA, HIPPA etc
